Combat Corrosion
When ethanol vapors meet humidity, conditions are ripe to create acetic acids that can corrode your in-sump equipment and submersible turbine pump.
These harsh factors can also lead to accelerated pitting or deterioration, expensive cleaning routines and restoration or outright replacement of equipment over time.

STANDING WATER
Accelerated corrosion of the threads on your riser pipe may be allowing water intrusion. Check to see if your sump frequently has standing water or water in the tank is an issue. |
CORROSIVE VAPORS
Any Ethanol fuel or vapor present in the sump provides the fuel needed for acetic acid bacteria grow and create conditions for corrosion. |
MOISTURE + VAPORS
If both conditions are present there is a toxic environment that may be ruining your equipment. This results in expensive replacement of parts. |

Built to SurviveThe Red Armor STP is available in the same sizes as the standard Red Jacket and Red Jacket AG STP's.
|
The Red Armor STP has a specialty coating on the manifold and discharge head that withstands acetic acid exposure to prevent corrosion and pitting to the cast iron surface over time. Stainless Steel construction on all exposed surfaces ensures easy maintenance for the life of the pump and the pump also features stainless-steel column piping and quick-set connector. Selected as the toughest performer across a battery of abrasion, immersion and impact tests. Impervious to microbial growth in the Sump and Tank. The Red Armor Submersible Turbine Pump for Corrosive Environments The ultimate survivor in your fueling infrastructure. The Red Jacket Red Armor series submersible turbine pumps are built to last in the harshest corrosive environments created by ULSD and ethanol blends. Key features:
Protect against corrosion in-sump and in-tank In-sump protection includes powder coated packer manifold, stainless steel riser, nuts, springs, screws, check valve seat, eye bolt, and check valve guide In-tank protection includes powder-coated discharge head, stainless column pipe and quick-set connector. The Red Armor specialty coating was selected as the toughest performer across a battery of abrasion, immersion and impact standards. |
TAKE A STAND AGAINST STANDING WATER
If you’ve got standing water in your sump and tank, you’ve got an issue that needs a solution. Accelerated corrosion on your existing riser pipes could be allowing water in, but you can take a stand against it with a 4” Red Jacket Stainless Steel Riser Pipe. It’s impervious to in-sump corrosion and directly replaces standard 4” riser pipes. Available in 7.5", 10.5", 12.5", 15.5", 19.5", and 27.5" lengths, to defend your sump. Improve serviceability and avoid water intrusion into your tank from corroding riser pipe threads by specifying a stainless-steel riser that is impervious to in-sump corrosion caused by acetic acid. A breach in the fuel flow path caused by corroded threads at the riser coupling could cause a severe leak into the sump space. Avoid this safety risk by installing a Type 304 stainless-steel riser pipe in all new and reconfigured submersible turbine pump applications. Select from the following riser lengths (all are 4” diameter, Type 304 material, NPT thread) |
