Hafer Environmental Services, Inc. (HES), is a full-service environmental consulting firm, staffed by a group of experienced geologists, environmental scientists and tank system technicians. HES has been performing comprehensive environmental investigations in central and eastern Pennsylvania since 1989. We have a wide variety of clientele including major industrial manufacturers, commercial businesses, lending institutions, law firms, real estate developers, fueling and automotive service stations, convenience stores, school districts and municipalities. Our success in the environmental field is directly related to our staff’s ability to quickly and accurately characterize environmental problems and then provide innovative and cost-effective solutions.

Approach to Project Management

HES is a results-oriented company. We have found the best way to achieve results is to take an aggressive, pro-active approach to environmental problems. HES does not wait for regulatory agencies to propose solutions and dictate timelines. Rather, we propose a project approach to the regulatory agency and in nearly every case they concur with every aspect of our project management strategy. Our ability to efficiently manage projects is valued by the variety of different parties that are typically involved in an environmental project including facility owners, facility operators, attorneys, regulatory agencies and community leaders. Many innovative soil and groundwater sampling strategies, developed in-house by our staff, permit HES to perform much more comprehensive investigations than most other environmental companies. The quality of our work is recognized by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (PA DEP). They trust our judgment and we have been successful on many occasions at negotiating cleanups that are not only protective of the environment but also reasonable in what can be expected of a property owner. At HES we understand that cleanups must be performed in a manner that is not financially oppressive to a property owner.
